Andrew N. Gerstenkon, 96, died Nov. 30, 2014, at his home in Wichita.
He was born Nov. 27, 1918 at Red Wing, Kansas the son of Andrew and Anna Herman Gerstenkorn. A longtime resdent of Waterloo, he was a retired machinist for Blanchat Machine Co.
He was a member of the St. Louis Catholic Church; the Knights of Columbus, the VFW; and was a WWII Army veteran.
On May 18, 1948, he married Beatrice "Bea" Ptacek at Wilson, Kansas. Other survivors include two sons and their wives Ed and Jeannie, Mike and Kim; two daughters and their husbands Mary Ann and Rich Buteau and Monica and Bert Purcell; 17 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 9 brothers and 3 sisters.
Parish rosary will be 7:00 p.m., Thursday, at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Waterloo. Burial will be in the St. Louis Cemetery.
