ARCHIE E. "Tiger" JONES
Archie E. "Tiger" Jones, 87, died June 7, 2011 at Wichita, Kansas.
He was born Aug. 30, 1923, at Penalosa, the son of Archie "A.E." and Iva Faye Parker Jones. A lifetime resident of the Kingman and Penalosa communities, he was a retired oil field supplier.
He was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Navy.
On June 2, 1946, he married Edra Joy Winters at Lerado, Kansas; she died Dec. 10, 1998. Survivors include son Rick and his wife Lynda; daughter Carla Wood and her husband Donald; grandchildren Elaine, Kim, Christy, Tonya and Josh; great-grandchildren Cole, Joshua, Kristen, Savannah, Lindsey, Jenna, Christopher, Skylyn and Harper.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday at the Lerado Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman with the family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Memorials may be made with Hospice Care of Kansas in care of the funeral home.
