BARBARA JEAN MCBURNEY

Barbara Jean McBurney, 83, died Sept. 7, 2016.

She was born Oct. 7, 1932, at Wichita the daughter of Artie and Vera Burger Cross. A Kingman resident since 1948, she was a retired AT&T operator.

Barbara Jean was a member of the Kingman Christian Church, Mary's Quilters Circle, Kingman Hospital Auxiliary and Nu-2-U store, the Kansas Foundation of China Decorators, past president of the KFCD, the Kansas World Organization of China Painters, the Kansas Porcelain Artist Teachers, and the Internation Porcelain Artists and Teachers.

On Oct. 8, 1950, she married Richard McBurney at Zenda, Kansas. He died Nov. 19, 2006. Survivors include numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a son David Lee McBurney; brother Harley Cross; and sisters Wilma Rickard, Katherine Harris and Peggy Crumbliss.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m, Monday, at the Walnut Hill Cemetery, Kingman. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m., til 10:45 a.m., Monday, at the Livingston Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made with the Kingman Christian Church or the Kingman Library, both in care of the funeral home.
