BAYARD T. ROBINSON, Sr.
MURDOCK - Bayard T. Robinson Sr., 89, died Nov. 7, 2008, in Wichita. He was born May 27, 1919, in Murdock, the son of B.T. and Odessa Coffey Robinson. A resident of the Murdock community most of his life, he was the retired cashier and owner of the Murdock State Bank.
He belonged to the Murdock United Methodist Church, and American Banker's Association. He was a World War II U.S. Army Air Corp veteran.
On July 19, 1941, he married Juana Smith in Las Vegas. She died Oct. 23, 2003. Survivors include: daughter, Linda Halbert, Wichita; sister, Lorain Bedinger, Wichita; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Bayard T. "Bob" Robinson, a brother, Eugene, and a sister, Eleanor Walker.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Murdock United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Marilyn Christmore presiding. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in Murdock Cemetery.
