BENNY L. BOCK
Benny L. Bock, 77, died May 10, 2011 at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson.
He was born May 13, 1933, at Nashville, Kansas the son of Ben and Minnie Schwartz Bock. A lifetime resident of the Willowdale and St. Leo communities, he was a farmer and stockman.
He was a member of the St. Peters Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council #2662, both of Willowdale. Benny served as Past State Warden for the State K of C Council, former Faithful Navigator for the 4th Degree Columbia Assembly, Wichita; and a member of the KLA, Farm Bureau, the Kingman County Fair Board, a former 4-H leader; and coached girls softball for many years.
On Aug. 23, 1955, he married Kathleen Spade at St. Leo. Other survivors include 2 sons and their wives, Bernie and wife Caroline and Branden and wife Abby; 6 daughters and their husbands, Jane and John Fischer, Cindy and Steve Conrardy, Julie and Larry Schwartz, Karen and Shane Bales, Caroline and Craig Phelps, and Peggy and Scott Lawrence; brother John "Babe" Bock; sisters Wilma Doelling, Angeline Hein and Kathlyn Moore; 16 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a brother David ; sister Carlie Hageman; and grandson Trenton Harbert.
Parish rosary will be 7:00 p.m., Friday at St. Peter Catholic Church, Willowdale. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, also at St. Peter Catholic Church. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. Burial will be in the St. Peters Church Cemetery.
Memorials may be made with the St. Patrick School Building Fund, the K of C Council #2662 Scholarship Fund or to the donor's choice.
