KINGMAN - Bill A. Frye, 78, died Dec. 1, 2010, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, on St. Francis, Wichita. He was born Feb. 15, 1932, at Thawville, Ill., the son of Lyle and Evelyn Lopeman Frye. A resident of Kingman most of his life, he was a retired sales representative and former owner/operator of Frye Automotive Equipment.
He was a member and former deacon of the Kingman Christian Church, the Wichita Audubon Society, Friends of Quivira, a former member of the Kingman School Board, and was a U.S. Navy veteran.
On Sept. 7, 1952, he married Letha Rey at Little Creek, Va. She survives. Other survivors include: three sons, Dirk, Rodney Dean and Darrin; daughters, Darcy Petzold and Danielle Keiter; brother, Jim; sisters, Evelyn Weber and Marjorie Colravy; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers Wayne and David.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made with the Wichita Audubon Society, in care of the funeral home.
