IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bobby Dean
Fletcher
June 5, 1951 – November 4, 2023
The Halls of Heaven heard the rip of guitar licks from Bobby Dean's healed hands, as he laid down his long-fought battle with Rheumatoid Arthritis and Pulmonary Fibrosis on November 4, 2023.
Bobby Dean Fletcher was born into a Wild West kinda World on June 5, 1951 to Cowboy Hall of Famer Claud Fletcher and Betty Jane Canny Fletcher in Pryor Ok.
Even though Rodeo was the Family way, Bobby's heart was drawn to music. He wanted more than dusty trails, so he studied long and hard on how to pick a guitar. His gift was his voice, his passion was playing his guitar. While getting on rough stock, he dreamed of being on stage. He persevered until it happened.
Bobby was a musician and was in several local bands with Pat Augustine and Brian DeGarmo, his two lifelong friends.
What he studied, he mastered. He was a gifted welder. He also loved the aquatic world; He received his certification for Scuba diving and could tell you all the Latin names of many species of tropical fish. He put that gift to work as a Salesman for Underwater Adventures, Pet Stop Super Shop and finally opened his own store - The Aquatic Cowboy.
He was a member of S.A.S.S., a Cowboy Action shooting sport, known as Snakeleg.
Snakeleg won many awards, but mostly loved his shooting partners, Madd Maddie, GutShot Walker, Rooster, Cap'n Bill, Yosemite Sam and Dead Eye Deke.He always asked, Who loves ya? He did. With his whole heart. He leaves behind his wife of 30 years, Donna Bramwell Fletcher and his Best Treasures - Daughters, Andrea Stephenson (Chase) and Tiffany Fletcher (Mike), and his son Garrett King (Maggie). Granddaughters, Lidia Elizabeth (Angel in Heaven), and his Earth Angels, Kathryn Denise (Tim), Kiera Jordan, Bella Dawn and Esme' Grace. Grandsons, Noah Ezekial (Natasha), Samuel Brian, Alexander Christian and Ethan Lewis. Sister, Tammy Fletcher Long and brothers Claude Dean Fletcher and Tom Fletcher (Maggie); and great grandchildren Ayva Rita Rose and Rowen Elizabeth.
Many Special nieces and a few awesome Nephews. He is also survived by a Family of loving In-Laws and dare I say a few of them Outlaws. He was proceeded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, Delores, Mona D. and Cathy; and his first-born Granddaughter Lidia Elizabeth.
Graveside Service will 11:00 am, Thursday at the Wildmeade Cemetery in Nickerson, Ks. The Family will receive friends from 5-7pm Wednesday at the Livingston Funeral Home in Kingman KS. Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice in care of Livingstons Funeral home.
