Brenda J. Hood, 67, died July 7, 2023 at Kingman.

She was born Aug. 3, 1955, in Wichita the daughter of Melvin O. Collins, Sr. and Beatrice June Lipps Collins.  A resident of Spivey since 2015, previously of Wichita, she was a retired CNA at the Kansas Masonic Home.

Brenda was married to Donald D. Hood, Sr.; he died in 2014.  Survivors include two sons  Donald and Adam; daughter Jessica Lynn Owen; brothers Elwood Collins and Douglas Collins; sisters Patricia Morfitt, Merry Fetcher and Rayetta Jackson; and five grandchildren.  She was also preceded in death by a brother Melvin Collins, Jr.; and a granddaughter Paislee Hood.

Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m., Thursday at the Greenwood Cemetery in Wichita.  Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman.

Memorials may be made with St. Jude's Childrens Hospital in care of the funeral home.
