Obituary

Butch Meng, died Jan. 1, 2017, at his home outside Kingman.

He was born Feb. 26, 1940, at Kingman the son of Louis Sylvester and Mary Emma Rohling. A resident of Kingman most of his life, having also lived in Sharon and Clearwater, he was a former electronic supervisor at Cessna, former owner/operator of OTASCO, Coast to Coast, and Furniture Mart in Kingman; and was a retired rancher.

Butch was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church, and Knights of Columbus, both of Kingman; and was a U.S. Army veteran during the Vietnam war serving as a radio receiver at the Pentagon.

On Oct. 28, 1961, he married Jackie Pulliam at Sharon, Kansas. Other survivors include two sons, Dan and his wife Ann, and Steve; two daughters Julie Thimesch and husband Tom, and Janell Meng; brothers Jim, Joe, and Gene; sisters Irene Martin, Marie Martin, Helen Burgess and Betty Burhman; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sons Jerry, John and Jack; daughters Angela and Joy; and sisters Mildred Dick and Virginia Hrencher.

Parish rosary will be 7:00 p.m., Thursday at St. Patrick Church, Kingman. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m, Friday, also at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Thursday, at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be made with St. Patrick Grade School or the Kingman Community Hospital Auxiliary, both in care of the funeral home.
