CARL A. CONNERS
Carl A. Conners, 84, died Nov. 19, 2011, at Via Christi Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, Wichita.
He was born Oct. 18, 1927, at Moline, Kansas the son of Joe and Gertrude Agnes Brogan Conners. A longtime Kingman resident, he was a retired oil industry employee.
He was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, the VFW, all of Kingman; he was an avid bridge player, golfer and traveler; and was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII.
On April 21, 1952, he married Rhua Ann Welday at Shawnee, OK; she died May 23, 2008. Survivors include a son Mike; a brother Ray; and a sister Connie. He was also preceded in death by a sister Josephine McGaffin.
Parish rosary will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday at the St. Patrick Catholic Church, Kingman followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman with the family receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery, Kingman.
Memorials may be made with the St. Patrick Church Building Fund, the Nu 2 U Shop, and the Wheatland's Thrift Shop, all in care of the funeral home.
