Cecelia Wedman Preisser, 93, was born May 4, 1926, Northeast of Danville, Kansas and died Dec. 18, 2019 at the Hilltop Manor, Cunningham. She was the daughter of Cleo and Ida Metzinger Wedman.

In 1930 the family moved to Grant County, Oklahoma. She attended school in Grant County and graduated from Caldwell High in 1944. She worked at Beech Aircraft until the war ended. Besides farming, she worked in an auto parts store and a meat packing plant.

On Aug. 23, 1948, she married Peter Preisser, Jr. They farmed in Reno County with Peter passing away in 1985. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers Paul, Henry, Anthony, Ralph and John; sister Ida Mary Belmear; and granddaughter Laura Betzen Oeding. Survivors include son Larry (Tracy Chambers); daughter Gwen Mark Betzen; 7 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Parish rosary will be 7:00 p.m., Friday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Cunningham with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, also at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. Burial will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday in the St. Joe-Ost Cemetery,

Memorials may be made with the SCCF (Pratt, KS) to the Laura Betzen Oeding Scholarship Fund or to the Sacred Heart Cemetery Fund both in care of Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman, KS 67068.
