Cecil O. Boese, 88, died Aug. 30, 2016, at Wheatlands Healthcare Center, Kingman.
He was born May 22, 1928, at Colwich, Kansas the son of Tobias "Tobe" and Susie Ratzlaff Boese. A Kingman resident since 1957, he was the retired manager of the Safeway Grocery Store.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Lions Club, both of Kingman; former board member of the Kingman Country Club and Kingman Community Hospital; and was a U.S. Army veteran.
On Sept. 18, 1949, he married Thelma Burfield, at Lyons, Kansas; she died Sept. 13, 1985. Survivors include two daughters Linda Langley, and her husband Dean, and Sheryl Allen; sister Jean Friesen; 3 grandchildren Cara, Kale and Kelsie; and 3 great-grandchildren Crandall, Carlin and Ronja. He was also preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, at the Kingman United Methodist Church. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, at the Livingston Funeral Home with the family present from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made with the Kingman United Methodist Church or Wheatlands Healthcare Center, both in care of the funeral home.
