CECIL LEE WESTERMAN
Cecil Lee Westerman, 86, died Aug. 8, 2025 in Wichita, Kansas.
He was born Feb. 25, 1939, in Zenda, Kansas the son of Henry and Edna (Kalthoff) Westerman. A lifetime resident of the Zenda and Nashville communities, he was a farmer, stockman and sales representative for Golden Harvest Seeds and other companies.
Cecil was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church having also served as an Elder; the Church Men's Club, the Lions Club, was former president of the CO-OP board, and was a former Rochester Township board member.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Kuehn) Westerman. They had been married for 60 years this past July. Other survivors include a son Wilferd; daughter Treva Ptaschek; brother Ralph; sister Sharon Prater; 3 grandchildren, Karstin, MaKayla and Ashley; and 2 great-grandchildren, Harper and Hudson. He was preceded in death by brother Harold; and sisters Lucille Weins and Vera Vogts.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2025 at the St. John Lutheran Church in Nashville, Kansas. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, Aug. 18, 2025 also at the Church in Nashville. Burial will be in the St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the St. John Lutheran Church and be sent to the Livingston Funeral Home, 1830 N. Main, Kingman, KS 67068.
