"Charlie" Thimesch

Charles W. "Charlie" Thimesch, 86, died March 29, 2021, at Wichita.
He was born July 26, 1934, at Cleveland, Kansas, the son of Frank and Helen Meis Thimesch. A longtime Cunningham resident, Charlie ran two gas filling stations, worked with his brother Robert in a dirt construction business. He also worked for the Don Dye Co., the City of Cunningham and retired from Dresden and Eureka Townships as a heavy equipment operator.
On Feb. 12, 1966, he married Carol Bohrer at Willowdale; she died Jan. 18, 2005. Survivors include two sons and their wives Chuck with wife Tammy, and Larry with wife Melissa; daughters Beverly and Laura Thimesch, and Kim Griffith with husband Brad; brothers Gary and Richard; sisters Betty Jo McLauglin and Mary Flores; and 5 grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by brothers Bob, Jerome, Leon and Kenny; and sisters Connie and Darlene.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday with a family rosary at 7:00 p.m., both at Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. The family will also receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Wednesday at the St. Peter Catholic Church, Willowdale with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the St. Peter Church Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Thimesch grandchildren Education Fund or the Cunningham Fire Dept. both in care of Livingston Funeral Home.
