Clarence Albert Burroughs, 84, died June 14, 2014, in Hutchinson, KS

He was born April 19, 1930, at Alamo, Texas, the son of Merle and Ruth Cherpitel Burroughs.

A longtime resident of Kingman, he was an office manager for the Chevrolet and Ford Motor Companies.

He was a member of the Kingman United Methodist Church,; a 40 year member of the Kingman Rotary Club; and was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.

On Oct. 5, 1957, he married Dorothy Carlson at Chicago, IL; she died March 29, 2004. Survivors include son Craig (Kathy), Hutchinson; daughter Julie (Dan) Murphy, Hurst, TX; brother Dale, Ellinwood, KS; sister Connie Wickstrom, Kinnear, WY; grandchildren Abby and Curtis Burroughs, Mindy Webb and Kathleen Murphy; and 3 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, at Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home with the family receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. at Lake Comanche Cemetery in Ellinwood, Ks.

Memorials may be made with the Hospice House of Reno County, Kingman United Methodist Church or Rotary International.
