Dean W. Swope, 89, died September 17, 2018.
He was born July 2, 1929, at Zenda, Kansas the son of Otto H. and Zella Myrtle Johnston Swope. A lifetime resident of the Kingman community, he was the retired CO-OP manager at Brown-Spur and at Collingwood Grain in Kingman.
Dean was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church, Kingman.
On October 20, 1953, he married Kathleen Osner at Wichita; she died April 30, 2010. Survivors include a son Tim Swope; daughter Joan Swope; and five grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by sister Janet Green and an infant sister Virginia.
Parish rosary will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, both at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Kingman. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made with the St. Patrick Grade School in care of Livingston Funeral Home, 1830 N. Main, Kingman, KS 67068.
