Della E. Wedel, 98, died March 3, 2013.
She was born May 23, 1914, at Pretty Prairie the daughter of Jonathan and Rosa Kaufman Goering. A lifetime resident of Pretty Prairie, she formerly worked in alterations for Blackburn Cleaners and was a dietary aide at Prairie Sunset Home.
She was a member of the First Mennonite Church, Pretty Prairie.
On Nov. 11, 1934, she married Willard E. "Bill" Wedel at Pretty Prairie; he died Sept. 13, 1998. Survivors include daughters and their husbands, Alice and Reed Graber, Pretty Prairie and Vera and Gary Graber, Nickerson; daughter-in-law Bertha Wedel, Buhler; 6 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son Glen; brothers Peter, Jacob and Daniel; and sisters Hulda Krehbiel and Anna Ortman; and a grandson Randy Wedel.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m., Friday, at the First Mennonite Church, Pretty Prairie. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.
Memorials may be made with the MCC in care of the funeral home.
