Delorse Lessenden, 81, died Dec. 22, 2018, at Cheney.
She was born Aug. 8, 1937, at Kingman the daughter of Bill and Leila Sinnett Jones. A longtime Cheney resident she was retired from Cessna Aircraft. She and her husband Don gave hundreds of school children draft horse wagon rides in Garden Plain, Cheney, Goddard and Valley Center. Their prized Belgians Zack and Charley delivered wagon loads of gifts for Toys for Tots for many years.
She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Cheney.
Preceded in death by parents Bill and Leila Jones, young sister Eleen, and husband Don Lessenden. Survived by brothers Bud and Bob Jones; daughter Tracy Knapp, sons Kelly (LaDale) Schnittker, Bill (JoAnne) Schnittker; step-daughter Lori Nelson; grandchildren Jeremy Schnittker, Tim Wallace, Erika Schnittker, Pallace Schnittker, Stanton Schnittker, Nick Nelson, Reagan Nelson; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman.
Memorials may be made with St. Paul Lutheran School, the Kansas Humane Society, Harry Hynes Hospice, the ALS Association, and the Cheney Saddle Club all in care of Livingston Funeral Home, 1830 N. Main, Kingman, KS 67068.
