Donald Lee Schwartz, 70, died September 5, 2017, at his home in Riverside, California.
Donald, known to his friends as Donnie, was born November 5, 1946, in Hutchinson, Kansas. The youngest son of Herbert and Elnora Schwartz, Donnie lived on his parent's farm near Pretty Prairie, Kansas for his first thirty-seven years before moving to a Residential Care Home in Riverside, California to be near his brother Melvin. Never married, Donnie touched everyone he met with his friendliness and sense of humor.
Survivors include his brother Melvin and his wife Charlene of Pretty Prairie; nieces Brenda Lowell of Lake Forest, California and Jennifer Wilson of Chilcoot, California; great-nephews Josh Wilson, Nathaniel Lowell; and great-niece Trisha Lehner. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Richard.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 18, 2017, at the United Methodist Church, Pretty Prairie. Burial will be in the Lone Star Cemetery.
Memorials may be made with the Riverside ARC, a private, non-profit corporation serving adults with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. Donation may be sent to Livingston Funeral Home, 1830 N Main, Kingman, KS 67068.
