Doris E. Hanson, 78, died Feb. 20, 2020, in Overland Park, Kansas.

She was born May 13, 1941, at Utopia, Kansas, the daughter of Lawrence and Mary Belle Box Nichols. A longtime Kingman resident, she was a homemaker; but more importantly, Doris was a devoted wife, loving mother and wonderful grandmother.

Doris was a member of the Kingman United Methodist Church.

On Feb. 28, 1960, she married Daryl J. Hanson at Hamilton, Kansas; he died April 28, 2003. Survivors include two sons Kelly and Kevin (Julie); daughter Kendra (Bill) Taber; sisters Barbara Hind and Shirley Farmer; 6 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a sister Carol Kraft.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, Feb. 28, 2020 at the Kingman United Methodist Church. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday with the family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be made with the Kingman Community Theater Association and the Kingman County Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
