DOROTHY HANDKINS

Dorothy Handkins, 98, went to be with the Lord on July 17, 2018 after a very brief illness.

Born November 1, 1919, to Eva and Eugene Weniger, she was a lifetime resident of Kingman County until she and Paul moved to Wichita in 2010.

Dorothy taught several years in a one room school house and married Paul Handkins on December 31, 1944. Paul preceded her in death September 2017 after 72 years of marriage.

She is survived by four daughters and their spouses, Alice and Rick Bair, Carolyn and Robert Behnke, Linda Alldritt, and Paula and Rob Raine; 8 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

Dorothy will always be remembered by her Godly attitude, her ever-present smile and the many notes of encouragement she sent.

Visitation with family will be Friday, July 20th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. Services will be held at Sunnyside Baptist Church, Wichita, July 21st at 10:30 a.m. Committal services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Vinita Cemetery, near Cheney.
