Dorothy A. Henning Jewell, 88, died Jan. 15, 2017, at the Prairie Sunset Home, Pretty Prairie.
She was born Oct. 21, 1928, at Willowdale, Kansas the daughter of Bernard and Anna Bohrer Henning. A longtime resident of the Kingman community, she was a former principal and teacher.
Dorothy was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Wichita.
In 1978, she married Nicholas Olivera; he died in 1981. She later married Lawrence Jewell and he also preceded her in death. Survivors include brothers Omer and Richard Henning' sisters Rita Roettering, Cecelia Pshigoda, Geraldine Furrow and Mary Lees; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by brothers Vincent, Tom, Steve and Clarence; and sisters Thecla and Bernadine.
Parish Rosary will be 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Waterloo with Mass of Christian Burial following at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery, Kingman.
Memorials may be made with the Praririe Sunset Home in care of Livingston Funeral Home.
