Doyle P. Tuxhorn, 90, died Oct. 20, 2022.

He was born Jan. 19, 1932, at Smith Center, Kansas the son of Henry and Daisy Post Tuxhorn.  A longtime resident of Kingman, he was the former owner of Tux's Service Station and later on worked for Vanlandingham and Newberry Motors.

Tux was a member of the VFW; attended the Kingman Mennonite Church; and was a U.S. Army veteran.

On May 22, 1953, he married Lila Watkins; she died in March 2003.  Survivors include two daughters and their husbands Sondra and Alvin Henning and Susan and Gary Koestel; 4 grandchildren, Michael and Carrie Henning, Scott Henning, Jessica and Christopher Gehring and Emilie Koestel and "Luz"; and 4 great-grandchildren.  He was also preceded in death by a son J.R. Tuxhorn; brothers Leo, Delmer Lee and Waldean; and sisters Roma Fristoe, Rachel Favinger and Evelyn Mankhey.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be made with Wheatlands Healthcare Center or Riverside Hospice both in care of the funeral home.
