Earl G. Thiel, 75, died Feb. 15, 2013, at Hutchinson.
He was born Aug. 12, 1937, at Harper, Kansas the son of Ogle E and Stella Maricle Thiel. A longtime Arlington resident, moving to Hutchinson in 2009, he retired from Eaton Hydraulics and was also a retired farmer.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Skunkers Car Club, both of Arlington; Reno Lodge #124 A.F.&A.M; and he helped construct the Arlington Elevator.
On May 10, 1956, he married Deanna Lynch; she preceded him in death on Nov. 6, 2006. On July 17, 2010, he married Martha Loughridge. Other survivors include son Randy; daughter Peggy Burgess; step-son Jeff Loughridge; step-daughter Marcella Fanning; brothers Ray and Ricky; 2 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; and 6 step-great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a sister Ella Mae Wedel.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, at the Arlington United Methodist Church. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman with the family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Lerado Cemetery.
Memorials may be made with the American Diabetes Association or the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, both in care of the funeral home.
