Edwin H. Simon, 80, died May 6, 2018.
He was born January 7, 1938, at St. Leo the son of Julius and Margaret Ridder Simon. A lifetime resident of the St. Leo community, he was a retired farmer and EMT for the Medicine Lodge Hospital.
Edwin was a member of the St. Leo Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus; and was a U.S. Navy veteran.
On July 19, 1960, he married Ruth Ann Schmidt at Sharon, Kansas. Other survivors include sons Roger, Kevin and his wife Lana, Michael, and Thomas and his wife Michelle; daughters Ronda O'Mara and husband Michael, and Pam Livengood and husband Brad; brother Don and his wife Marcellene; grandchildren Simon and Brock Livengood, Dylan and Siera Simon and Dante and Xaiver Simon. He was preceded in death by his sister Lucille Vierthaler and an infant daughter.
Parish rosary will be 7:00 p.m., Thursday at the St. Leo Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, also at St. Leo Catholic Church. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Thursday at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. Burial will be in the St. Leo Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made with Dominican Sisters of Great Bend or K9's for Warriors, both in care of the funeral home.
