Elena Colleen Reed, 88, died Dec. 13, 2020, at her home in Wichita.

She was born Nov. 9, 1932, at Norman, Texas the daughter of William and Bessie Mandette Coffman.

A Wichita resident since 1995, previously of Kingman, she was a homemaker, a former EMT/First Responder, and in the late 1970's she started an adult care home on the family homestead on Blueberry Hill, West of Kingman.

On Nov. 12, 1952, she married John Kenneth Reed; he died March 20, 1992.  Survivors include sons Dayle (Carole), Kerry, David (Jolene), Brian (Brenda); daughters and their husbands Beverly (Phil) Roots, Barbara Hefner, Betty Reed and Julia Reed; brother Michael George; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.  She was also preceded in death by son Worth; daughter Karen; infant granddaughter Samantha; brother John "Sonny Boy"; and sister Betty Nightengale; and step-father Orval Lancaster.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman.  Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until service time Thursday.  Burial will be in the Hoosier Cemetery.

Memorials may be made with the Kansas Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
