Ellen L. Boyle, 97, died Sept. 13, 2021 at her home in Wichita.

She was born Jan. 21, 1924, at Spivey, Kansas the daughter of Joe and Alberta Wilson Shultz.

A longtime Spivey resident moving to Wichita in 2008, she was a homemaker.

Ellen was a member of the County Acres Baptist Church, Wichita.

On Aug. 18, 1944, she married Rex Boyle at Hutchinson; he died Oct. 5, 2016.  Survivors include a son Max and his wife Jan; daughter Rebecca Fryar and her husband Ken; grandchildren Jennifer Alexander and Mark Boyle; and four great-grandchildren.  She was also preceded in death by a son Steve; and sisters Vera Bluejacket and Edie Beth Hinderliter.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021 at the Country Acres Baptist Church, Wichita.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman.  Interment will be in the Duquoin Cemetery.
