Elmer K. Jantzen, 87, died Nov. 9, 2014, at Wichita.
He was born Feb. 17, 1927, at Beatrice, Nebraska the son of John B. and Justine Ensz Jantzen. A longtime resident of Kingman he was a retired contractor and carpenter.
He was a member of the First Mennonite Church, Pretty Prairie.
On Sept. 1, 1950, he married Winnona Janz at Beatrice, Nebraska; she died Sept. 29, 2010. Survivors include sons Richard and Rodger; daughters Beverly Alexander, Barbara Jantzen and Beth Hanke; 8 grandchildren, Matthew , Hillary, Amy, Justin, Aaron, Stephanie, Benjamin and Sheri; and 8 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by brothers Bernard, William and Alfred; and sisters Hilda Coon and Dora Bates.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Thursday at the First Mennonite Church, Pretty Prairie. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday with the family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.
Memorials may be made with Grace University and Avant Missions, both in care of the funeral home.
