ELTON C. LONG

Elton C. Long, 89, died Dec. 30, 2020, at his home in Cheney.

He was born July 9, 1931, in Ohio Co., Kentucky the son of Ben and Anna Mae Young Long.  A Cheney resident since 1977, he was a retired business manager.

Elton was a member of the Trinity United Christian Church, Past Commander of American Legion Post 295, a lifetime member of the VFW; and was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War.

On Sept. 5, 1953, he married Mary Minges at Cheney.  Other survivors include sons Dennis and Brian; daughters Brenda Carney and Diann Reddick; 9 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a daughter LaDonna; brothers E.L. "Jim", Hubert and Mitchell; and sister Jean Brownd.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, Jan. 4, 2021 at the Trinity United Christian Church, Cheney.  The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman.  Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Cheney.
