EUGENE J. "Gene" Albers

Eugene J. "Gene" Albers, 68, died Dec. 16, 2020 in Kansas City, Missouri.

He was born Jan. 15, 1952, in Kingman the son of John and Delores Hageman Albers.  A resident of the Cunningham and St. Leo communities most of his life, he was a retired farmer and stockman.

Gene was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit, Goddard, and the Knights of Columbus.

In November of 1993, he met Sharon Haggard Unger and they were united in marriage in July 2002. Other survivors include a son Gary (Angela); daughters Christy (Chad) Carpenter, Emily (Jerry) Albers and Sara (Cory) Hildreth; step-daughter Cher (Brian) Stillings; brothers Alan, Steve and Ed; sisters Diana Wegerer, Marilyn Vierthaler and Nancy Denny; 9 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020 at the St. Leo Catholic Cemetery.  Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman.  A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will take place at a later time.
