Eugene Waltner

Eugene Waltner, 88, died April 22,  2025 at Wheatlands Healthcare Center, Kingman.

He was born Oct. 3, 1936 at Pretty Prairie,  the son of Harvey and Ann Krehbiel Waltner.  A Kingman resident, previously of Pretty Prairie and South Hutchinson, he was a retired farmer.

Eugene was a member of the First Mennonite Church, Pretty Prairie.

On Aug. 26, 1972, he married Patricia Newcomer at Valley Center, Kansas.  Other survivors include daughter Jill Albright and her husband Dennis; sister Betty Krehbiel; and three grandchildren Hayden, Avrey and Erin.   He was preceded in death by son Gary; and brother Alan.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 26, 2025 at the First Mennonite Church, Pretty Prairie.  The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Church prior to services.  Burial will be in the First Mennonite Church Cemetery.  Services from the Church will live streamed and may be viewed at https://www.fmcprettyprairie.org/services/live-video-streaming/
