Florence Allen. Age 89, passed away at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas on March 16th, 2018. From her birth to Albert and Rose Hoffman in Minneola, Kansas on October 27, 1928 to her death on March on March 16th, 2018. She nourished her family and the people around her with love, faith, and prayer. She worked in banking and bookkeeping jobs but mostly concerned herself with the job of raising and caring for her large family. She was preceded in death by her husband William " Bill" Allen and her daughter –in-law Linda Allen, three brothers Andrew Hoffman, Bill Hoffman and Charlie Hoffman. She is survived by her daughter Karen and husband Kit Core of Berryville, Arkansas, Gary Allen of Ft. Smith, Becky Geiger of Springdale, Barbara and husband Wayland Parker of Greenwood, Ed Allen of Ft. Smith, Mitch Allen of Wichita, Kansas and Pat and wife Marti Allen of Maumee, Ohio, two sisters Rosetta Sorensen and Arlene Robinson- Turner and 19 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. Visitation is Monday , March 19th at Lewis Roberts Funeral Chapel in Ft. Smith, Arkansas from 6-7 PM with the rosary begining at 7 PM. The funeral Mass is Tuesday, March 20th, 2018 at 10 am at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Barling, Ar. The graveside service is 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 22, at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Kingman, Kansas. Pallbearers are Bubba Parker, Nick Allen, Will Allen, Dakota Burkhart, Levi Burkhart, Landon Burkhart, Brody Allen, and Ryan Allen, and Josh Allen and Nathan Allen.
