Obituary

Florence "Flo" Marie Hampel, 88, died Sept. 19, 2015, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.

She was born Jan. 9, 1927, in Fowler, Kansas, the daughter of Martin John and Clara Christine Gerber Huelskamp. She was a postal clerk in Pretty Prairie, Kansas for 29 years.

She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Which was very important to her, along with family, friends, and playing cards.

On April 28, 1954, she married John Joseph Hampel at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Fowler. He survives. Other survivors include: sons, Garret (Kathy) Hampel, Mike (LeAnne) Hampel, and Dennis (Connie) Hampel, Wichita, and Tim Hampel, Kingman; two sisters, Betty McCullough, Liberty, Texas, and Helen Spachek, Shawnee; three grandsons; and three great-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, James, Arnold, Jerome, and Leroy Huelskamp.

Parish rosary will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Wichita. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church. Friends may call from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, or the Lord's Diner, both in care of Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman.
