W. Eugene "Gene" Dixon, 92, died Feb. 19, 2013.
He was born Dec. 9, 1920, at Basil, Kansas the son of Lloyd and Gladys VanArsdale Dixon. A lifetime resident of Kingman, he was retired from Kingman Radio.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Lions Club, Ninnescah Lodge #230, the VFW, all of Kingman; and was a WWII U.S. Army veteran.
On Nov. 22, 1942, he married Erma Boyce; she died June 20, 2009. Survivors include daughters Erma Lee Dunnegan, Norma Dixon, Shirley Case and Judy Valentine; brothers Gloyd, Lawrence, and Richard; sisters Dixie Fisher and Anna Marie Taber; 9 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by grandson Jon Eldon; and great-grandson Garrett Gilman.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Saturday, at the Kingman United Methodist Church.. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday at the Livingston Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Cleveland Cemetery.
Memorials may be made with the Kingman United Methodist Church or the Cleveland Cemetery Assn., both in care of the funeral home.
