Geneva Mae Theis, 84, died Oct. 16, 2021 at Cunningham.

She was born Aug. 24, 1937, in rural Cunningham the daughter of Leo and Josephine Wegerer Albers.  A lifetime resident of the St. Leo and Cunningham communities, she was a former election clerk, was a  seasonal employee for the Kansas Wildlife and Parks, and was the church organist for the St. Leo Catholic  Church for more than thirty-five years.

Geneva was a member of the St. Leo Catholic Church and the Altar Society.

On Oct. 17, 1955, she married Paul Theis at St. Leo; they were married 66 years.  Other survivors include their children and their spouses, Deb (Dean) Simon, Donna Theis (Steve Simon), Roger L. (Laurie) Theis and Alan (Jana) Theis; brother Ron Albers; sister Margie Sterneker; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Parish rosary will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday at the St. Leo Catholic Church followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m.  Friends may call at the Livingston Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.   Burial will be in the St. Leo Cemetery.

Memorials may be made with the St. Leo  Catholic Church or Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Cunningham both in care of Livingston Funeral Home.
