GERALD R. STATZ

Gerald R. Statz, 84, died Aug. 11, 2016.
Gerald was born Feb. 21, 1932, at Fairfield, Nebraska the son of Theodore and Lela Hungerford Statz. A longtime resident of Kingman, he was a retired grocer for Safeway and IGA; and was a retired member of the Army National Guard.
On Nov. 7, 1952, he married Relda Diggs in Parsons, Kansas. Other survivors include son Bradley; daughter Carla Iott; sister Sharon Kae Phillips; 7 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Stephen; and a twin-brother Harold.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home with the family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Military rites will be conducted at Walnut Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made with the Kingman Community Hospital and Kingman Library, both in care of the funeral home.
