Gilbert D. 'Gil' Krehbiel
KINGMAN - Gilbert D. 'Gil' Krehbiel, 84, died Jan. 19, 2013, at Wheatlands Healthcare Center, Kingman.
He was born Aug. 29, 1928, in Harvey County, Kansas, the son of Henry H. and Edna Krehbiel. A resident of Kingman most of his life, he was a retired KDOT Maintenance Supervisor for the Kingman County Department of Transportation portion.
He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, was a former Kingman Volunteer Fireman, the VFW, and the American Legion, and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
On June 29, 1959, he married Deanna Walter at Laurel, Montana, She died Aug. 29, 2009. Survivors include: two daughters and their husbands, Julie and Scott Reich, and Jan and Jon Rausch; sister, Bertha Potter; and grandchildren, Christopher, Cara, Jordan, Brandon, and Connar. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Marvin, Paul, and Pete.
Parish rosary will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday followed by funeral services at 10:30 a.m. both at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Kingman. Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made with the Kingman Community Hospital Oncology Department and Wheatlands Healthcare Center, both in care of the funeral home.
