IDA ANN THIEME
Ida Ann Thieme, 86, died Dec. 31, 2011 at Kingman Community Hospital.
She was born Nov. 24, 1925, at Sharon, Kansas the daughter of Joseph and Josephine Eck Hrencher. A resident of Zenda most of her life, she was a homemaker and a former school teacher.
She was a member of the St. John Catholic Church and Altar Society, both of Zenda; and the D of I, St. Leo.
On June 2, 1947, she married Joseph Thieme at Sharon; he died Dec. 29, 2006. Survivors include sons, Robert, Dennis, Kenneth and Dale; daughters Joan Brown and Marlene von Merveldt; sisters Josephine Inslee, Claudine Meng and Sister Philomena; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was also preceded in death by brothers Francis, Clarence and infant Paul; and a sister Ruthelma Hallam.
Parish rosary will be 7:00 p.m., Wednesday at St. John Catholic Church, Zenda. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday also at St. John Catholic Church. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. Burial will be in the St. John Church Cemetery.
Memorials may be made with the St. John Church Cemetery Fund and the Dominican Sisters of Peace of Great Bend, both in care of the funeral home.
