James Hamilton Hart, 85, died Nov. 17, 2017, in Wichita.

He was born Aug. 27, 1932, at Kingman the son of ira "Pete" and Helen M. Cox Hart. Jim was a 1951 graduate of Kingman High School; and attended Bethany College.

A longtime resident of Wichita, he was a former employee of the IRS and Kansas Dept. of Revenue; but was a letter carrier for thirty-five years for the U.S. Postal Service.

Jim is survived by his brother Jerry Hart and his wife Tonya; nephews Ira "Butch" Hart and wife Joyce, Mike Hart and wife Becky, Steve Hart and wife Diana , Nick Hart, James Hart Bruce Hart and Derek Hart; nieces Patricia Hart, Heather Motzny, Geri Kay Hart; and numerous great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers Ira and Harry.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made with the Kingman Carnegie Library or the Kingman Area Ministerial Alliance Food Bank, both in care of the funeral home.
