JAMES A. "JIM" ROBERTS
James A. "Jim" Roberts, 93, died April 1, 2024 at Wheatlands Healthcare Center, Kingman.
He was born Nov. 17, 1930, at Longview, Texas the son of Thomas Arthur and Alta Josephine Turner Roberts.
A longtime resident of Kingman, he was a retired oil field worker.
Jim is a member of the First Baptist Church where he previously served as Deacon; and he was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp and the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean War.
On Jan. 2, 1954, he married Peggy Thompson at Elk City, Oklahoma; she died Aug. 8. 2021. Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Roberts and his wife Karlene, and Terry Roberts; daughter-in-law Betty Roberts; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. He was also preceded in death by a son Jim Roberts; a sister Alta Anita Wright; and a brother Thomas.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 5, 2024, at the First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 4, 2024 at the Livingston Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery.
Memorials have been suggested to Wheatlands Healthcare Center, Rivercross Hospice and First Baptist Church, all in care of Livingston Funeral Home, 1830 N. Main, Kingman, KS 67068.
