Janene K. Gillen, 48, died Sept. 20, 2015, at South Wind Hospice, Pratt.
She was born Dec. 24, 1966, at Attica, Kansas the daughter of Karl and Donna Bridgeman Werner. A lifetime resident of the Zenda and Willowdale communities, she was a bus driver and activity bus driver for USD 331 and 332; and was a former owner/operator of 4-G Feed, Kingman.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and the Altar Society, both of Willowdale.
On Aug. 8, 1987, she married Mike Gillen at Willowdale. Other survivors include son Ross; daughter Joanna Cooper and husband Chuck; her parents Karl and Donna; and sisters Karla Westerman and Karen Tommer.
Per her request Janene bequeathed her body to medical research. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, at the Kingman County Activity Center. A parish rosary and committal service will be held at a later date. Janene's family requests casual dress and your favorite hat be worn.
Memorials may be made with the Kingman County 4-H, St. Peter Catholic Church and South Wind Hospice of Pratt, all in care of Livingston Funeral Home, 1830 N. Main, Kingman, KS 67068.
