IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jeannie Marie
(Probst) Mcneff
April 8, 1949 – December 13, 2020
Jeannie Marie (Probst) McNeff of Northglenn, Colorado crossed the threshold Sunday, December 13, 2020 at 11:45 AM listening to Ave Maria and holding her daughter's hand, due to a lengthy illness (not covid). She was born April 8, 1949 in Kingman, Kansas. She graduated from Kingman High School and Sacred Heart College (now Newman University), Wichita Kansas. She pursued a successful career as a medical technologist. She met Rus McNeff while in college and they were married and worked in Arizona. They were blessed with two children. When they moved to Colorado she stayed home to raise her children until they were in middle school, when she returned to work until retirement. Her children, 5 sisters, 5 brothers, cousins, nieces, nephews and their children were very important to her. Her life orbited around love of family, babies! nature and creating. She was a member of the Red Hat society and her friends were very dear to her. She sewed, canned and was a master creative. Travels with friends were a joy, as was a trip to Germany. When she was ill, she never complained, just carried on with things.
She volunteered extensively throughout her life, working at shelters, helping with special needs and church needs and volunteering at her children and grandchildren's schools, including sewing aprons for Rowan's entire kindergarten class.
Survivors include daughter Susan McNeff Skokan (married to Jake), son Scott McNeff (married to Jenna), sisters Sister LeAnn, Marilyn Pendergraft, Patricia Lett (Max), Deb Kaufman (Randy) and Eileen Lohmeyer; brothers Tony, Leonard, Bill and Jim (Bonnie); 2 grandchildren, Tyr Rowan and Kieran McNeff Skokan; and many nieces, nephews and their children. She was also preceded in death by her brother Richard, her parents, William & Dorothy (Pelzl) Probst and brother-in-law Mike Lohmeyer.
