Jerome David Thissen, 71, died Jan. 9, 2014, at his home in Wichita.
He was born April 26, 1942, at Kingman, Ks, the son of Cornelius A. and Clara A. Huelskamp Thissen. A longtime resident of Wichita, previously of Kingman, he was a sales representative for Coca-Cola and Rainbo Bread.
He was a member of Mount St. Mary's Catholic Church, Wichita.
Survivors include son Troy, Wichita; daughter Renee Michael, Wimberley, TX; sisters Sr. Rita Marie Thissen, Mary Jane Newman, and Pat Kampling; brothers Bob, Hank, Fr. Don and Martin; and grandchildren Hunter, Rod, Ashlie and Conner; he was preceded in death by brothers Harold, Fr. Kevin, and Norbert; and sister Esther.
Rosary service will be 9:30 a.m., Wednesday followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m., both at the St. Patrick Catholic Church, Kingman. Inurnment will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Kingman.
Memorials may be made with the Sisters of St. Joseph, Wichita.
