Joan D. "Joanie" Cochran, 75, died April 3, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family in Wichita, Kansas.

She was born Aug. 8, 1948, in Granite City, Illinois, the daughter of Ed and Helen Lisac Farrenkopf. A longtime resident of Wichita, previously of Brookfield, Missouri, she was a homemaker.

Joanie was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Wichita; and was the "Den Mother" of The Broadway Singers. She loved traveling to community live theaters around the country and was a season ticket holder for Music Theater of Wichita for over 30 years.

On Feb. 2, 1969, she married Miller Cochran at Brookfield, Missouri; Other survivors include daughters Liz (Jim) Hauserman and Anne Marie (Bill) Hausfeld; brother Dennis (Jane) Farrenkopf; 14 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by a sister, Rita (Steve) Schrock.

Parish rosary will be 9:30 a.m., Monday, April 8, 2024 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Wichita.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., following the rosary.  Committal services will be 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 9, 2024 in the St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Brookfield, Missouri.
