Joe M. Gomez, 87, died Jan. 24, 2012, at Kingman Community Hospital.
He was born Sept. 3, 1924, at Rincon De Taymayo, Mexico the son of Placido and Rufina Blanco Gomez. A resident of Kingman most of his life, he was a retired Shop Superviosor for Klaver Construction Co.
He was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church, the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, the VFW, the American Legion, Rotary and Lions Club, and was a WWII U.S. Army veteran.
On Nov. 20, 1948, he married Lupe Gonzales at Kingman. Other survivors include sons, Joseph, Jr,, Greg and Victor; daughters Teresa Rios, Patricia Mancinas, Linda Guillen and Martha Hernandez; a brother Kenneth; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Parish rosary will be 7:00 p.m., Friday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Kingman followed by the Knights of Columbus rosary. Funeral services will be 11:0 a.m., Saturday also at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday, at Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery.
