JOHN J. KREHBIEL

John J. Krehbiel, 99, died Oct. 4, 2015, at the Prairie Sunset Home, Pretty Prairie.

He was born Nov. 10, 1915, at Elyria, Kansas the son of Peter S. and Anna Goering Krehbiel. A resident of the Pretty Prairie community since 1939, he was a retired farmer, dairy farmer and for many years faithfully served as the Church custodian.

He was a member of the First Mennonite Church, Pretty Prairie.

On Sept. 3, 1944, he married Ella L. Stucky at Pretty Prairie. Other survivors include a son James and his wife Patricia; daughter Judy Schultz and her husband Everett; grandchildren Jennifer (Shae) Weide, Tim (Barbara) Schultz, Monica (Stephen) Becker and Heather (Jason) Rodgers; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers Phillip, Daniel and Peter; and sisters Anna Stucky, Kathryn
Parker and Lydia Matthew.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, at the First Mennonite Church, Pretty Prairie. Friends may call after 1:00 p.m., Thursday, at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman with the family receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in the First Mennonite Church Cemetery.

Memorials may be made with the Church and the Prairie Sunset Home, both in care of the funeral home.
