JOHN W. THIEME, SR.
John W. Thieme, Sr., 96. Died April 9, 2011, at St. Francis Medical Center, Wichita.
He was born Sept. 16, 1914, at Nashville, Kansas the son of Alfred and Anna Kerschen Thieme.
A lifetime resident of the Kingman community, he was a retired Industrial Engineer for Boeing and was a farmer.
He was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus, both of Kingman.
On Sept. 20, 1941, he married Barbara McPherson at San Diego, Calif.; she died Dec. 23, 1999. Survivors include son John, Jr.; daughters Mary Lucas, Theresa Mullins, Evelyn Yoder, Kathleen Thieme and Deb Osborn; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a son Gerald; grandson Derek Mullins; 3 brothers and 5 sisters.
Parish rosary will be 6:00 p.m., Sunday at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday also at the Church. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m., to 5:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Livingston Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made with the St. Patrick School Building Fund or the St. Patrick Adult Choir, both in care of the funeral home.
