JOSEPH D. BAILEY

Joseph D. Bailey, 49, died Dec. 6, 2024 in Harper County.

He was born Jan. 30, 1975 in Kingman the son Joel Bailey and Teresa Tatro.  A lifetime resident of the community, he was a self-employed and independent contract oil pumper.

Shortly after his graduation from Kingman High School he started working for Mobile Drilling on a Pulling Unit.  When he received his CDL he ran the water truck for Pickrell Drilling.  Being a dedicated and hard working employee, he was not long before he was promoted to a production pumper for Pickrell.  When the opportunity arrived, armed with the knowledge, respect and dependability he had gained is when he started his own contract pumping.

Joe had a great love for all sports, but NASCAR and football were his favorites as well as hockey later on.  He was a great fan of 1990's rock music.  In both music and sports he had a vast knowledge of statistics and who's who for teams and bands of old.

He was a member of the St. John Odd Fellows Lodge #539; and the Mizph Rebekas Lodge #102.

Joe is survived by parents Joel and Cindy Bailey, and Teresa Tatro; son Christopher Franz; grandparents Gilbert Beat and Judy Schonlau; sisters Victoria (Jeff) Gray, Bethany Bailey, Nichole (Sabin) Nease, Krista Mayfield; and brother Todd Mayfield.  He was preceded in death by grandparents Lola Bailey, Rosalene Beat,  Thomas Schonlau, George and Adelaide Tatro; and several aunts and uncles.

A graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025 at Walnut Hill Cemetery with a memorial Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 11:00 a.m., at the St. Patrick Catholic Church, Kingman also on Jan. 4, 2025.

Memorials have been suggested to the Kingman County Humane Society.
