JOYCE ELAINE HUTCHINSON
Joyce Elaine Hutchinson, 95, Kingman, passed away Aug. 23, 2026 at Wheatlands Healthcare Center, Kingman. She was born April 9, 1931, in Hutchinson the daughter of James Albert and Mary Ellen Burch Henry.
Joyce married William Lee Hutchinson in 1949. They shared 55 years of marriage together until his passing in 2004. Joyce and Bill were part of the Cheney and Kingman farming communities. Joyce was a loving wife, mother and sister. She was a woman who found great meaning in the simple and important things in life. Joyce will be remembered for her strength, Warm smile and sense of humor.
Joyce was baptized as of of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Because of her strong faith and love for mankind, she shared her hope of a bright future through God’s Kingdom arrangement.
Joyce is survived by son-in-law Ron Ast; sisters Linda Wilson and Janet Dean and her husband Carl; grandchildren Scot Ast (Kim), Chris Ast (Katie), Todd Herman (Kelly), Mathew Hutchinson (Miranda), Brandon Hutchinson, Cherokee McFarlane (Cody), and Bekka Patterson (RJ); 12 great-grandchildren; and numeours nices and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents James and Mary Henry’ children Mark Hutchinson, Debra Ast and Lance Hutchinson; and sisters Patricia Truchon and Karen Ingram;
Cremation has taken place.
Memorial graveside services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Sept 9, 2026 at the Walnut Hill Cemetery, 900 N. Marquette, Kingman, Kansas 67068 by Brother Mike Davis.
