Joyce Eileen Schaefer Smith, 78, died Monday, Apr. 30, 2018 in Kingman County, Ks.

She was born Apr. 4, 1939, at Walworth, NY, the daughter of Raymond J. and Laura Cook Schaefer.

A resident of Kingman County most of her life, she was a supervisor for Agriculture Statistics.

On Aug. 9, 1958, she married Robert George Smith at Walworth, NY. Other survivors include sons Mark (Monica) and Dale (Margaret); sister Phyllis Schaefer Turner; 2 grandchildren, Nathan and Emily; and 2 great-grandchildren, Quinton and Cooper. She was preceded in death by brother Harold Schaefer; and sisters Francis Everet and Margaret Schrader.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman.

Memorials may be made with the Kingman Community Hospital or the Kingman County Historical Museum.
